Job Summary


We are seeking a Quality Analyst who will be responsible for conducting advanced inspections, audits, and analyses to ensure that materials, processes, and products meet Caterpillar’s high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturing teams, engineering departments, and quality control personnel to identify issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.


This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest levels of quality and performance.


Key Responsibilities


As a Quality Analyst at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for a wide range of quality assurance activities, including but not limited to:


1. Inspection and Quality Audits


Conduct in-depth inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Perform audits on manufacturing processes to identify deviations and non-conformities.

Use advanced measurement tools and techniques to assess product quality and specifications.



2. Measurement Systems Analysis


Evaluate and validate measurement systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and maintain quality standards.

Assist in designing and developing test procedures to enhance product quality.



3. Non-Conformance Analysis and Resolution


Analyze non-conformance data to identify patterns and root causes of quality issues.

Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Document and report non-conformance findings to relevant stakeholders and ensure timely resolution.



4. Process Improvement and Continuous Quality Enhancement


Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.

Recommend modifications in manufacturing processes to improve product quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement.



5. Quality Training and Compliance


Provide training to employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in quality management techniques and tools.



Qualifications and Skills Required


To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:


Educational Requirements:


A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.


Candidates with equivalent work experience in quality assurance will also be considered.



Technical Skills:


Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and methodologies.


Familiarity with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.


Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and measurement devices.


Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles.



Soft Skills:


Attention to detail and accuracy to ensure quality standards are met.


Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.


Collaborative mindset with adaptability to changing work environments.


Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
