Key Responsibilities


As a Deputy Engineer - Weldline Simulation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving Mahindra’s high standards of manufacturing excellence. Your responsibilities will include:


1. Die Assembly Expertise


Oversee the die assembly process for automotive body skin parts such as body sides, fenders, and closures.

Ensure high-quality precision and adherence to safety standards in the die assembly process.

Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to implement the most efficient assembly techniques.



2. Program Leadership


Lead key programs related to die assembly and weldline simulation.

Guide, train, and mentor junior engineers and team members to enhance their expertise.

Conduct training sessions on best practices, quality control, and manufacturing efficiency.



3. Manpower Planning & Team Management


Plan, organize, and allocate manpower to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor workforce performance, identify skill gaps, and implement training programs.

Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration to achieve operational excellence.



4. Manufacturing Inputs & Process Optimization


Provide critical inputs to the manufacturing team for die design improvements.

Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to develop cost-effective, innovative solutions.

Continuously analyze, optimize, and improve the weldline simulation process.



Required Qualifications & Experience


Educational Requirements


Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.



Experience Criteria


2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.


3 years of experience with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.



Critical Competencies


Must have experience in Mahindra’s leadership competencies or equivalent leadership experience in a similar automotive environment.



Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills


1. Industry Experience


Prior experience in the automotive or engine manufacturing industry.

Familiarity with weldline simulation, die assembly, and manufacturing operations.



2. Leadership & Team Management Skills


Proven ability to lead and guide teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

3. Technical Expertise


Knowledge of die assembly processes, tool & die design, and welding techniques.
