Job Overview
Hero MotoCorp, the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, is looking for a Team Manager (TM) / Line Incharge for our Engine Plant - Aluminium Phase at our Vadodara facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing shift production, achieving daily targets, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring smooth workflow within the production line.

Key Responsibilities
As a Team Manager / Line Incharge, you will be responsible for various critical operations within the Aluminium Phase of the engine plant. Your key duties will include:
1. Document Preparation & Analysis
Prepare and maintain critical documentation, including Daily Work Management (DWM) records, control charts, and process sheets.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and improvement areas in the production process.
2. Production Monitoring & Target Achievement
Ensure that daily production targets are met by monitoring shift performance and optimizing resources.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and maintain output levels.
3. Manpower Management
Oversee workforce allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of skilled and semi-skilled labor.
Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their efficiency and performance.
4. IMS Documentation & Compliance
Maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to quality and safety protocols.
5. Rejection Analysis & Countermeasure Implementation
Analyze production rejections using the SDCA (Standardize, Do, Check, Act) and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodologies.
Develop and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve product quality.
6. Production Measurable Functions (PQCDSM)
Manage Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (PQCDSM) metrics to enhance plant performance.
Ensure continuous process improvements to meet and exceed production KPIs.
7. Line Efficiency & Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Monitoring
Track line efficiency and calculate OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data to identify operational bottlenecks.
Implement improvement strategies to enhance machine uptime and productivity.
8. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Implementation
Drive TPM initiatives within the plant to reduce downtime, enhance machine reliability, and improve overall equipment performance.
Conduct preventive maintenance planning and ensure execution as per schedules.
9. Line Balancing Using Just-In-Time (JIT) Methodology
Optimize workstation balancing by implementing JIT principles to minimize waste and improve workflow efficiency.
Work towards creating a lean manufacturing environment through process standardization.
10. 5S Maintenance & Workplace Organization
Implement and sustain 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Ensure regular housekeeping and safety checks to promote a productive workplace culture.
11. Tool Life Monitoring & Cost Analysis
Track tool usage and lifecycle to prevent unexpected breakdowns and reduce operational costs.
Analyze tool performance and implement cost-effective solutions for improved efficiency.
12. Leadership & Team Motivation
Foster a collaborative and engaging work environment by motivating team members to perform at their best.
Conduct performance reviews, training sessions, and skill development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification in a related field).
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in the automobile manufacturing industry, preferably in engine production or aluminium phase operations.
Technical Skills Required:
5S Methodology – Experience in implementing workplace organization strategies.
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) – Knowledge of proactive maintenance systems.
Integrated Management System (IMS) – Experience in managing IMS documentation and compliance.
Just-In-Time (JIT) Manufacturing – Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
SAP PP Module – Proficiency in SAP Production Planning for production monitoring.
Behavioral & Soft Skills:
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyze production issues and implement effective solutions.
Leadership & Team Management – Experience in leading and mentoring a production team.
Planning & Decision-Making Abilities – Capability to develop strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Strong ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
